At the time I was selling on the street in Soho and the stylist, Carlene Ferguson reached out asking to pull some pieces; my designs actually ended up being featured on three pages. It felt exciting to see my work in print because I’ve had a love for fashion magazines since I was fourteen years old."

“Russell Simmons had a magazine called One World.
Raquel Cepeda, the editor-in-chief, was a dear friend and supporter of my work. They were working on a story highlighting 27 artists under 27 and decided to include me. This was my first magazine feature as a solo subject. I'm a behind-the-scenes person and am shy in front of the camera at times. This opportunity challenged me to embrace being comfortable in front of the camera. I was covered in dozens of my pieces which was cool."
